Drink more water, they say. It’s good for you, they say. Have they actually tasted water? Even if you don’t mind the taste of water, you have to admit it gets kinda boring after a while.
Adding fruit to your water not only gives your taste buds a tingle but also adds essential nutrients to your diet. Intrigued? We thought so. Give these fresh combinations a go:
You really can come up with almost any combination that takes your fancy. Simply add your favourite fruits and see if the combination works for you.
Our tip: when adding herbs/spices, start small. It’s easier to add more than trying to dilute an overly flavoured drink! With things like mint, basil, ginger and cinnamon, a little tends to go far.
For a more intense flavour, try gently crushing the fruit as you add it to your water. Doing this helps release the flavour.
If you’re a little bit chef-y you might be tempted to draw out more flavour from the fruit with a little salt. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with this, just keep the salt to a minimum as it too much will cause your body to reject it….and we all know where that ends!
Remember to give your FOSH bottle a good clean after each use to get rid of any remaining little bits of fruit.
